PROFILE

I studied Theatre: Design for Performance at Central St Martin's College of Art and Design, London UK and, after a ten year career in immersive and participatory practice, took a Master: Performing Public Space at Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Tilburg, Netherlands focusing on interaction in digital space.

After developing independent projects and area-designing on Punchdrunk's Faust, I teamed up with producer Harry Ross to make site responsive work for a variety of companies.  Between 2010 and 2013 we led the design and production of Secret Cinema events, mounting 13 large scale productions attended by well over 250,000 people.

From 2011 - 2018 I was a professional mentor to new students following my course (now re-named  BA Performance Design and Practice). Harry and I have always looked to encourage new collaborations and set up a live art company Fruit for the Apocalypse to gather small commissioning budgets and put on experimental productions in interesting locations. In 2014 we channeled this effort into the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's InTRANSIT Festival, commissioning and curating site responsive productions across the borough each summer, including the Portobello Pavilion.

I am passionate about place, history, and society. I have worked with the National Trust and The National Archives to bring to life lost histories using police records such as the Cararvan club (1930's queer safe space in Soho) and the Suffragette's Headquarters (Suffragette City, 2018).
